I have recently retired from teaching Asian Style Brush Painting at Whatcom Community College and also from other commitments . I want to paint more portraits and also be more spontaneous in choosing my subjects.I think I have been going in this direction, Lets see where it will go.

Spontaneity and expression. Brushwork meets this criteria. I have painted all my life in many different mediums. Painting is a place that is home, another world, a philosophical platform, a fairy circle, an act of passion or awe, a place to rest hurt, a place to be miraculously happy.
